This gallery is inspired by our diasporic Africans. It seeks to demonstrate the inherent royalty and regality that still exists within dispersed Africans. Even if they grow up in diverse countries, especially Western countries, they will always retain some aspect of their culture.
This exhibition was photographed and curated by Kamdi Okonjo. Jaime Ukagba, the subject of her exhibition, is a model, creative director and freelance photographer in Dublin, Ireland. He was brought to the National Gallery of Ireland and posed in front of historical Western paintings while wearing traditional Nigerian clothing and an Ethiopian wrap.
The gallery's beauty lay in that it has a profound impact because it exemplifies the new generation while appreciating Western art and culture.
