African Power to me is showing the beautiful reality of how royal Africans can be. For so many years Africans were told that they are inferior and through my images, I want to communicate that Africans are magnificent.

We are descendants of Kings and Queens, and it is time for Africans to lift up their heads and wear their crowns. Our skin is beautiful, our culture must be honored, and our ways are extraordinary. From carrying water from the river to collecting goods in baskets, we must not be ashamed of our roots and that is the message I want viewers to receive through my images.
