Before AFA-AFA’s Founder, Kamdi Okonjo, created Africans For Africa, she was the founder of the organization Teen Tate - The Alliance For Teen Excellence. It was later changed into Africans For Africa (AFA-AFA) in 2019.

Kamdi Okonjo is an extraordinary activist who is bringing to the forefront an important conversation about xenophobia on the continent. As the founder of TEEN TATE (The Alliance for Teen Excellence), her mission is to connect teenagers across Africa. Kamdi met her mentor, Dr Inyang Etukudo-Owo, at their church and their relationship continues to grow. Inyang who is the Head Specialist Physician and Head of Department for the Family Medicine Department at the new Natalspruit Hospital, has herself experienced xenophobia, racism and difficulty establishing herself in a male-dominated field …
